Staking guide for Ethereum network
The Stader-Polygon staking dApp provides a user-friendly interface, allowing MATIC and POL holders to easily stake their tokens with Stader on the Ethereum network. Please note that you can stake both POL and MATIC with Stader on the Ethereum network. At the time of unstake, you will be able to unstake your MaticX and receive the tokens back only in POL.
How to Stake MATIC or POL?
Step 1: Go to https://www.staderlabs.com/polygon/stake/ and click on the “Connect Wallet” button.
Step 2: Thoroughly read the Terms of Service, then select your wallet from the available options. Please note that by connecting a wallet, you agree to Stader’s Terms of Service
Step 3: Approve or confirm the connection request in your wallet to connect with the Stader dApp. Once the wallet is successfully connected, your wallet address will be visible in the top right corner of the dApp, and your MATIC or POL balance will be displayed in the input box based on the token selected from the dropdown menu.
Step 4: Please ensure that you have selected the network as "Ethereum."
Step 5: From the dropdown menu on the Stake tab, select the asset you wish to stake. You can choose either MATIC or POL.
Step 6: To start the staking process, first, provide token limit approval for MATIC or POL by clicking the "Approve POL" or "Approve MATIC" button based on the token selected from the dropdown menu. If you have already provided token limit approval, you can skip Steps 5 and 6.
Step 7: A prompt will appear in your wallet to grant Stader access to your MATIC or POL. Enter the token limit and click "Confirm" or "Approve" to provide access. Once the token limit is successfully set, you can proceed with staking your MATIC or POL.
Step 8: Enter the amount of MATIC or POL you wish to stake with Stader based on the asset you selected. After entering the stake amount, review the amount of MaticX you will receive upon staking. Once you are certain, click the “Stake MATIC” or "Stake POL" button based on your selected asset.
Step 9: Sign the transaction in your wallet, and that’s it! Once the transaction is successful, you will see the confirmation screen.
Step 10: You can check the amount of MaticX received in your wallet. If you have not imported MaticX as a token in your wallet, you can do so by clicking the “Add MaticX” button above the input box.
