Unstaking Guide
The Stader-ETHx staking dApp provides a user-friendly interface, allowing ETH holders to easily unstake their ETH with Stader.
For unstaking on Arbitrum One network, users must use a DEX to swap their ETHx for ETH. Also, you can bridge your ETHx from Arbitrum One to the Ethereum network and then unstake it for ETH. You can check our Bridge section for DEX and Bridge options.
How to Unstake ETH on the Ethereum Network?
Step 1: Go to https://www.staderlabs.com/eth/stake/ and click on the “Connect Wallet” button.
Step 2: Thoroughly read the Terms of Service, then select your wallet from the available options. Please note that by connecting a wallet, you agree to Stader’s Terms of Service
Step 3: Approve or confirm the connection request in your wallet to connect with the Stader dApp. Once the wallet is successfully connected, your wallet address will be visible in the top right corner of the dApp.
Step 4: Click on the Unstake tab and your ETHx balance will be displayed above the input box as "My ETHx"
Step 5: To start the unstaking process, first, provide token limit approval for ETHx by clicking the "Approve Unstaking" button. If you have already provided token limit approval for ETHx, you can skip Steps 4 and 5.
Step 6: A prompt will appear in your wallet to grant Stader access to your ETHx. Enter the token limit and click "Confirm" or "Approve" to provide access. Once the token limit is successfully set, you can proceed with unstaking ETHx.
Step 7: Enter the amount of ETHx you wish to unstake. After entering the unstake amount, review the amount of ETH you will receive upon unstaking. Once you are certain, click the “Unstake ETHx” button.
Step 8: Sign the transaction in your wallet, and that’s it! Once the transaction is successful, you will see the unstake confirmation screen.
Step 9: The amount of ETHx you unstake will be deducted from your total ETHx balance. However, the unstaked ETH will not be immediately added to your wallet, as there is an unbonding period of 7–10 days. This period is subject to entry and exit queues on the Ethereum network and the amount of ETH available in the deposit pool. You can track the status of your unstaked ETH under the "Withdraw" tab.
