# If you have DIFFERENT Operator and Reward Address
### Propose Reward Address change with the Existing Reward Address[](https://www.staderlabs.com/docs-v1/Ethereum/Node-operator/permissionless-node-operator/Update-reward-address/DIFFERENT-Operator-and-Reward-address#propose-reward-address-change-with-the-existing-reward-address)
If your Operator and Reward addresses are the **DIFFERENT**, you can propose a Reward Address change only through the Smart Contract with your **Existing Reward Address.**
1. Visit the PermissionlessNodeRegistry Smart Contract:
* **Mainnet:**
* **Testnet:**
2. Connect your wallet with the Smart Contract, using your **Existing Reward Address.**
3. Click on the "***ProposeRewardAddress***" function.
4. Enter your **Operator Address** (for node identification) and the **New Reward Address**, then click the "**Write**" button.
### **Confirm** Reward Address change using the New Reward Address[](https://www.staderlabs.com/docs-v1/Ethereum/Node-operator/permissionless-node-operator/Update-reward-address/DIFFERENT-Operator-and-Reward-address#confirm-reward-address-change-using-the-new-reward-address)
You can confirm a Reward Address change only through the Smart Contract using your **New Reward Address**
1. Visit the PermissionlessNodeRegistry Smart Contract:
* **Mainnet:**
* **Testnet:**
2. Connect your wallet with the Smart Contract, using your **NEW Reward Address.**
3. Click on the "***ConfirmRewardAddressChange***" function.
4. Enter your **Operator Address** (for node identification) and then click the "**Write**" button
